DeerField Park

Subdivision styling with Country Flare

If you have a sibling, you’ll have a great sense of the relationship between Deerfield Park and Settlers Ridge. Sitting across the street from it’s little sister, the Deerfield Park subdivision shares two of its sibling’s builders, housing styles and amenities. But like all good sibling rivalries, residents of either will likely try to tell you why their neighbourhood is just a little better.

Located between Sidney Street and Highway 62, and from the 401 north to Sunningdale Road, Deerfield Park sits just off Maitland Drive. Receiving approval from the local planning department in 1999, Geertsma and Mirtren Homes have drawn in a higher income demographic, including members of the military, families, singles and retirees.

In addition to a beautiful wooded trail, Deerfield Park has some much sought-after ravine type lots as well as some mid-range homes that are excellent options for people trying to get into post 2000’s era homes within their budget.

Close to uptown shopping on Bell Boulevard and the big box complexes north of the 401, owning a car to run errands here is a must. Car traffic can be a bit of an irritant, however. Residents of the neighbourhood have petitioned the city to lower the speed limit and to install radar to crack down on speeders.

With consistent pride of ownership, high end finishes and superb modern designs, Deerfield Park residents know their neighbourhood is the envy of many in Belleville.
